We watched the meteor shower From the window of the highest room In the book store Where the ghosts of our literrery heroes Never died We recite the lines That have been etched on our minds Those words that resonate We should never underestimate The power of words We would be nothing without them They leap out from the page And into our hearts They bring joy and pleasure We would be nothing without them So many story's Of heroes and monsters And resurrections' Story's of leaders and followers And improbabilities That we take as truth From the earliest age the power of words Takes a hold of us And teaches us about the world But some will try to use the words To lure us into a false truth To turn us against people To make us hate But that is not why we were given the power of words They should not be used for evil Literature is a beautiful thing Don't let it turn you to hate Because it can teach us how to love
