We bought vinyl from Lazer and Circles

and clothes from C and A

our sports gear came from Sugs on Wellgate

we got drunk in the park on Skoll

we ate opal fruits and Marathon bars

and read Smash hits and Kerrang

we debated which Bananarama we fancied

we watched Tizwas and Pat Sharps fun house

rode BMX bikes around the estate

and made a den in a tree in the woods

and we sneaked into the school grounds on Saturday

to use the tennis courts

on Sunday we listened to Brono

the top 40 on radio one

but its all such a long time ago

its realy a life time away

and at 18 we went our seperate ways

we lost touch, we all grew appart

we got jobs, had families and bills to pay

we forgot our childhood ways

but for one night only

we get to relive the past

at our school reunion, a time to catch up

and the memories come flooding back

OK - weve all changed

put on weight, lost somw hair

but it realy does feel like old times

sadly we didnt all make it

so we toast the ones that sadly died

and we make a vow that we will keep in touch

time will tell if we do

because we can't recapture those halcyon days

when the summers lasted so long

we may be older and wiser

and have less time on our hands

and they say that nothing lasts forever

but true friendship doesnt die.
