Wing and a prayer

Living your life on a wing and a prayer

Pretending like you don’t care

Taking chances, trying your luck

Living your life by hook and by crook

Dreaming up your latest scam

Trying to crack Uncle Sam

You want to be the talk of the town

You want to be up instead of down

You hope that one day you will get the breaks

Then you can deal in higher steaks

You will make your fortune come what may

Because every dog has to have its day

You are tired of wearing your crown of thorns

Always fighting and locking horns

You wish lady luck would be on your side

Getting sick of the great divide

The hand you are dealt is never a winner

Are you been punished for being a sinner?

You never mastered your poker face

Always stuck at second base

Why must you always be out for the count?

When will you have the right amount?

Its one of happy but two of sad

And not enough thrust for your launch pad.
