Trick of the night

Time to think with the ebb of the tide as it laps at my feet memories past, a time gone by when you were here with me. A dip in the sea but it isn't the same without your hand to hold No breath on my face and no warm wet kisses to banish my blues away. The sun is getting the shadows grow longer just like these endless summer nights the memories bit

I think I see your face a silhouette in the sun but it soon becomes clear you are not here only in my heart. A drink at the bar and a little night reading just to occupy my thoughts Alone on the balcony watching the night a jet plane passes by I hear your voice calling out my name I wonder where you are as my head hits the pillow I can almost believe that you are by my side but its only a dream just a trick of the night but it sure feels right.
