Molly

Molly came in from the cold
Her heart melted the first time she saw her beau
Climbing from his horse to grant her wish
The satin sheets were soft on her skin
In his arms she was a child again free from sin
The beau tall and thin with eyes like an angel
Loved her more than any other
And Molly knew that she would always love him
As she lay by his grave
She had watched him leave
And in the ground
A casket, and a shadow of the man he was
But still handsome in Molly’s mind
And that smile brought tears to her eyes
And once again melted her heart.
