We quick stepped across the cobbled path

That led from the cavern to the Promised Land

The lunar eclipse cast us into perpetual darkness

I held you in my arms

And the softness of your body made me feel secure

The taste of freedom made me salivate

Like it had done all those years ago

Under the blossom trees

I remember that the sun 

had so much warmth

It would have melted the coldest of hearts

I remember we danced 

And I told you that I would keep the monsters from your door

Than at any other point in my life

And we had become one single entity

I have made mistakes in the past

I upped my game. I grew
