Run to the hills

We have to fix this town, bring harmony

We have to bridge the distance

End the loosing streak

How can it be that so many are too blind to see?

Its time for a change, its been coming for too long

So now the time has come

We all know what must be done

Take a stand or else we all will fall

This town is filled with dread

Now the high street is dead

No silver spoon but a passionate request

Its time we had our way

Fall to our knees and pray

Where are the heroes?

Where is the winners post?

All the books I’ve read

All the words I’ve said

All these years, and still the mines are dead.

In unemployment lines

Nobody drinks fine wines

There are beggars on the corner needing cash

There’s no birthday bash

Only beans and mash

No gourmet meals, just more cash appeals

They can’t pay the bills

They run to the hills

So they make a choice, do they eat or heat the room?

You know the old will die

I’ve heard so many cry

Take a stand and fix this once great town

All these years (all the books I've read) All these years (All the wordsI've said) All these years (Run to the hills)
