This journey is torturous Cramped up here like sardines I want to stretch out all of my limbs Reach out for something To touch and feel the warmth Of much more than this emptiness I cant imagine how it would feel For these chasms to be removed
And the light touch me Where before there was only a dark emotionless void I am surrounded by voices I see smiles and twinkling eyes Everywhere I go But I never see a twinkle that I Can take credit for I never bring a spark into anyone's life No one ever tells me that I brighten their dayI want to serve someone breakfast in bed Or go out for cocktails and dance all night Miss the last bus home and have to spend the night on the beach I want to play Tom Hanks to your Halle Berry But its pipe dreams Pure unashamed pipe dreams And dreams don't keep you warm at night You cant snuggle with them on the sofa Go skinny dipping or pick nick in the park But at least they are dreams and not nightmares So dream on There is always a chance dreams may come true.
